Things to do in Perth: Restaurants to Visit on Your Jet Ski

A popular thing you can do on your jet ski hire is explore Perth and stop for somewhere to eat along your way. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes that will welcome you or you can stop and make use of one of the many public BBQ areas. Here are a few of our favourites:

Hillarys to Mindarie

If you launch your jet ski from Hillarys Boat Harbour you can have lunch at any of the eateries before or after your ride. But one of our favourite trips is to leave from Hillarys Boat Harbour and head north to Mindarie Marina. Here you can stop off at the Indian Ocean Brewing Company where you will find a great selection of food and drink (with QR scanner menus on the tables). Also popular here is the Shikara Indian Restaurant or for a lighter snack you can grab yourself an ice cream at Six Degrees.

Swan River

The Swan River is a great place to jet ski and there are plenty of places to stop for food such as The Boat Shed Café, Mr Walker in South Perth or plenty of options if you pull up in Elizabeth Quay or Barrack Street Jetty including The Lucky Shag. Further up the water by Heirisson Island you can stop at The Point Bar and Grill and Long Neck Brewery, or past the stadium you can moor up in East Perth and eat at The Royal, Gioia or The Partisan.

Also on the Swan River you can visit JoJos Café in Nedlands or the Point Walter Café in Bicton. Further downstream as you head towards Fremantle along the way you can stop at Cool Beans, 8 Knots and Zephyr Café. As you get into Fremantle you can stop at the Dome Café and Jettys Bar.

Fremantle

Tie up your ski in Fremantle Harbour and pop into a number of great lunch spots! Fremantle is one of the best spots for fresh fish and chips, like Cicerello’s, Kailis Fishmarket or Joe’s Fish Shack. You can also check out Bathers Beach Hotel or Char Char Bull and top it off with a visit to Baskin-Robbins.

Rockingham

Rockingham is a picturesque beachside strip full of cafes, bars and restaurants. Mangles Bay is a popular jet ski area so you can enjoy the huge water ski area then pop into Palm Beach Café or Latitude 32 for refreshments.

Mandurah

On the Mandurah canals you can ride your jet ski to the restaurants and stop for a bite to eat or drink. There is almost every option available but some of our favourites are Catch22 Tapas, Maneki Sushi, Jasmine Thai, The Pirate Ship or even just stopping for San Churros.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can give yourself a tour of the canals all the way through to the estuary, and head to South Yunderup. South Yunderup it is a hidden gem and almost feels like you have left WA. Here you have Pelicans on the Murray Cafe, River Garden Thai Restaurant and Jetty's Bar And Grill. There is also a beautiful BBQ spot and playground for the kids to have a play on.

Exploring Perth’s amazing eateries while on your jet ski is the most fun way to get to know the city. If you have any questions about where you can go, please contact us! Or click here for a full list of boating guides and ramps
